Beach to Bay

What an unforgettable stay with our extended family - sons, daughter-in-laws and grands - this home was absolutely perfect for us! The house offered plenty of space so everyone could spread out comfortably yet the open areas made it easy to gather for meals, games, chats, laughs and making precious memories. The location couldn’t be better - a short walk to the beach while also being right on the bay for water watching (including dolphins) and gorgeous sunrises on multiple balconies. The highlight for the kids (and grown-ups!) was the infinity pool with a hot tub and slide. It seemed like our own private resort! Everything was clean, well-stocked and perfectly designed for families. Our host was so welcoming and responsive with customer support. We made forever memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime. Our grands declared it “Best Spring Break Ever”! We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a beautiful, spacious, and fun-filled family retreat!

This is our second time staying at this house. The price was much higher this time around, but we love the layout and the location so much we had to return. Having so many rooms with private bathrooms, yet also a couple for sharing is fantastic! The bunk room is great for the kids and so cozy! Two sets of washers/dryers is also great. Wonderful garage space, covered porches, and sun porch way up high are also amazing. There isn't a screened porch so bring bug spray. Beach is a short walk and there are sidewalks on the main road to walk to the cute little downtown area. Sunsets are breathtaking on the beach. We fished from the dock (didn't have much luck) and also rented kayaks from a local place and took them out a lot. Thankful our dogs could come! The new pool is fantastic (although we had trouble figuring out how to get the pool to heat - pump has to be running and the way to adjust that is not easy to find). We loved the slide and the place to sit in the shallow water. The room with the AC just outside is loud. Neighbors left their pool lights in "party mode" all night so the master bedroom changed colors every 30 seconds all night so bring an eye mask and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Cords in dining area when shades are open are very long and in a loop so keep an eye on young children around them. Grass is artificial-watch out for nails sticking up! We had a couple issues that were fixed promptly by management. We will return!

Amazing views! Beautiful house, newly renovated, and gorgeously decorated! There is new construction immediately next to it, so a little noisy in the morning.
We saw amazing sunrises and rainbows on the bay! We saw manatees in the backyard!
Very quick walk to the beach. They provide wagon, beach chairs and some floats.
I wish they could provide umbrellas.
They had two sets of washer/dryers (very helpful)

What an outstanding VRBO rental on Anna Maria Island. There were 14 people in my family staying in this house for the long Memorial Day weekend. We were a bit nervous about if there was going to be enough space in the house. We were pleasantly surprised. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The outdoor area was perfect especially the dock. The "pool" was a bit warm but it felt nice at night. We would HIGHLY recommend this house to other renters. AMILocal was a great rental company to work with. Thanks for a fantastic and very memorable stay.

The location was perfect. We loved the one block walk to beach, mike run to the state park, a few blocks from fun bars and restaurants. Our large group could come and go as they please. There were issues with the spa that were resolved 3 days in and some electrical stuff going on, but the issues were resolved and communication was good. I would strongly suggest getting return rides to airport in advance as getting of this key is challenging. You don’t need a car, bike rentals and local trolly get you where you need to go

The house was perfect for our annual girls getaway! It had plenty of room for 11 of us to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking in a few nights. The location of the house was ideal - beautiful views overlooking the bay and only a short walk to the beach. There were restaurant locations within walking distance as well! AMI locals was very helpful in lining up our bike rentals and sunset boat cruise. The jacuzzi pool was a big hit on those cooler days as well! We would definitely rent this property again!

This property is fantastic. We are not your typical group who would be renting a large beach house (we are all adults in late forties, early 50s) - but we wanted to do something special for my husband's big birthday. This wonderful place certainly fit the bill! It is open, clean, with lots of great light, fantastic bedrooms and bathrooms, and amazing outdoor spaces. The balconies and dock are terrific, and it is a 3 minute walk to the beach, which was so convenient and lovely.

TLDR: Highly recommended. Well-equipped, easy check-in, fast WiFi, central location.
This place is fantastic, great for groups or families. It's a hop, skip, and a jump to beautiful white sandy beaches (<1/10th mile) and all the popular shops and restaurants (~1/4 mile) you'll want to visit during your stay.

Great location, very clean, we loved the jacuzzi but would rather prefer a swimming pool. Lot of fishing and great views from every single room at the property. Our only negative was the air conditioning not working properly at the first floor, temperature was hold on 72 and was impossible to raise it. And internet and TV not always working on the 2nd floor. But again, minor issues. Great and highly recomemded property.

We stayed at this property with our 6 teen/adult kids and 3 of their spouses and my husband and I. We LOVED it and are hoping to return. The bedroom and bathroom set-up was perfect for us. We loved that 4 of the bedrooms had their own bathrooms! The 3rd floor sitting room with a gorgeous view has pull out beds that we used, too. Sheets were clean wrapped. The bunk room has full size beds and they are so cozy. People liked gathering in there to watch TV. We were a little nervous about staying away from home with Covid-19, but after entering the house, we weren't concerned at all. It was immaculate!!! We had small dogs and moved couches to get their toys and there wasn't even dust under them. The location was exactly what we'd been looking for - a dock to fish on any time and a short walk to the beach. It was great for keeping everyone happy! We rented kayaks and had them delivered so they were there when we arrived. If you have adventurous people, I highly recommend that. We saw manatees and dolphins every day from the house and dock. We caught lots of fish, too. There are plenty of dishes and silverware and we loved the huge round table. We pulled up the stools so all 11 of us could sit together. The living area by the kitchen was our main hang-out but we didn't all fit on the soft furniture but people could sit at the table chairs and still be together. The WiFi worked great, plenty of hot water, 2 sets of washer and dryers, beach wagon, small pool, balconies and outdoor hose and shower, were all added perks. The roof lookout offered great nighttime star views. Any issues we had were resolved promptly (they were minor and just part of normal living). Here are some tips for future guests: The gas stove and oven was very difficult for us to figure out - oven takes lots of tries before it finally turn on. There are small pictures of the burners in front of the knobs...turn two of the same picture on to get enough flame to boil water. Push in and turn. Be sure to hold the START button on the dishwasher AGAIN if you open it to add something (don't just shut it or it won't complete the cycle). The bedroom on the 2nd floor that is closest to the stairs has an AC unit in the closet so don't put your light sleepers in that room. There is not a light on the dock so bring one if you want one for night fishing. There isn't a ladder on the dock which makes getting into kayaks tricky. The pool is small but can have a current/heat. FUN! YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE!

This is a beautiful house located directly on Sarasota Bay but a short 5 minute walk to Bradenton Beach, which is lovely. The house is beautifully decorated with neutral colors and has a fully stocked kitchen. It was very comfortable for our group and we all enjoyed the beautiful sunrises in the morning. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is wonderful for large families. Each couple in our family had their own space with very comfortable bedrooms. The common areas were roomy as well. Loved the views. The beach was close and provided beautiful sunsets. Loved the preserve just 0.9 mile away. Grocery store was close. We really never needed to leave the island. Miniature golf was enjoyable. Walking and jogging were very easy along the beach on the common path. The home had everything you need for the beach, umbrella, chairs, sand toys, ice chest. Perfect 👍

What an absolutely incredible home. We took our elderly parents with our family for a fall break trip. The homes elevator was fantastic for my parents to go from floor to floor of the home. The bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect. The kids bedroom was precious and the kids loved it! Hot tub was great. Huge kitchen with everything you need to make meals—although we ate out all our meals. Great garage. Perfect location to both Anna Maria and Long Boat Key. We will definitely be back!!

Property manager was phenomenal to work with. The only bummer was the hot tub never got hot. When we called about it the property manager said this issue had been happening with this property, it was Saturday and no one was able to come out to fix it. It meant we went out Saturday night instead of hanging out at the house. Other than that beautiful property, great location, and sparkling clean with nice linens and decorations

16 of us, 8 adults and 8 children stayed the last week of July here. The property is very comfortable for a large group with plenty of sleeping options. The kitchen, main floor area is open with fantastic views of the bay and lots of space. While you directly face the bay, where it's fun to watch the boats and the Cortez draw bridge, you're also literally just a 1/2 block from the gulf side and a very nice beach area. It's also an easy walk or bike ride to the historic Bridge Street restaurant area. We did call the property management group with a couple questions and they were very responsive. Highly recommend this house for large groups.

Loved our stay! Beautiful home, and in great location. A minute walk to beach, provided a beach wagon & chairs for our use. Lovely hot tub for our large family. Dock provided a fishing location. Sunrises were beautiful from all the balconies! Very clean and beautifully designed home. One member of family just had knee surgery and the elevator was a blessing for her, and for groceries! I would stay there again!

This house is amazing....anything you need is already there and the location is awesome, Fish from the pier across the street in the gulf or from you very own dock in the intercoastal. Rent a boat or golf cart and you are all set. Just as a sugestion...you might want to bring your own toilet paper as what is provided is a tough one-ply recycled sand paper mix...but otherwise everything was awesome!

In a word... Wow. first word everyone said when they walked around the house. The king beds in 5 bedrooms were a hit with our family and friends. Everyone loved sitting out on the two decks and we used the hot tub / pool every day. We caught Sheephead and Pompano off the fishing dock but the better catches were the sunrises and sunsets. Ashley was always available to answer any questions and also let us know we forgot a camera before we got very far from the house. Impeccable house with impeccable service.

WHAT A PLEASENT SURPRISE! THIS HOUSE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. FROM THE EASE OF OUR ARRIVAL TO OUR TIME SPENT AND DEPARTURE. WE WERE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THIS HOME. IT HAS SO MANY AMENITIES TO ENJOY AND SITS RIGHT ON THE INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY. WE BROUGHT OUR BOAT. AND EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. SO MUCH SO THAT THIS IS GOING TO BE A YEARLY RENTAL FOR US. THE WAY THE HOME IS SET UP IS PERFECT FOR A LARGE GROUP OR FAMILY OR COUPLES. WE ARE RETURNING IN MAY WITH 5 COUPLES. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. THE OWNERS THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING. SO ENJOY! :)

I brought the entire family down for Christmas this year and stayed at the Sandbar from Dec-22 thru Dec 29. Best decision ever! This house is BEAUTIFUL in every aspect; from the views, to the cleanliness, to the attention to detail on the decor. I am sometimes a little weary of beach vacation rentals because what you see isn’t always what you get. NOT THE CASE here The Sandbar is a new house so there was no tired furniture, gross things left in cupboards by the previous clan, FRESH linens, and so much more. Ashley was Awesome too! When we got there there was a little Christmas tree and a bottle of wine welcoming us! So sweet! The kids LOVED the backyard with the outdoor pool table, swim spa, and dock for fishing! I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT TO SUM IT UP PERFECTLY: THE SANDBAR IS AWESOME!

We were in town for a soccer showcase in Lakewood Ranch. The property was amazing! Five couples stayed at the house; there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and still enjoy group activities. The hot tub/pool was wonderful, and the decorating was exquisite. There were plenty of linens for everyone and the beach towels (16!) were a very nice touch. We had access to a three car garage, complete with beach chairs and wagon. Everything was brand new, and the kitchen was spectacular. The bay is beautiful and the beach is a very short walk away, as is the picturesque little town, with several good restaurants, a convenience store and gift shop all within easy walking distance. We will definitely place this on our list of places to return in the future!

The Sandbar is by far one of the best that we have stayed. It is complete with all comforts of home while being so stylish and luxurious, not to mention impeccably clean. Not much was needed in way of assistance, but all messages and questions about the home were answered with immediate response. Our group of parents enjoyed every bit of our stay with plenty of common space, yet private space to retreat if need be. We will definitely be back!

This house was awesome. The layout was perfect for my large family and the elevator made it easy for everyone to move their luggage around and for our older members to avoid the stairs. The amenities were such a pleasant addition: beach chairs in sand, swim pool, pool table, and plenty of patio furniture for enjoying the view. The house is extremely spacious and is great for get-togethers. The location was 5 star as well: a quick block walk to the beach and a couple blocks to Bridge St. This house will NOT disappoint!! Ashley, from the rental company, was a pleasure to work with - very accommodating and super quick responses. We couldn't be happier and definitely hope to be back.

The house was amazing. We planned a surprise visiting my sister in Med School, who also happened to get engaged, and had such an incredible weekend. The balconies, and backyard were all breathtaking. We spent much of our time outdoors by the water, taking in the sea breeze, utilizing the super cool hot tub, and playing in the sand. This house is so beautifully decorated and has such a homey feel. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to have a luxurious getaway. The property was very clean and well-maintained. The pictures in the listing were accurate. The property manager Ashley was super easy to deal with, and provided great customer service. The only thing I would note to other visitors, is that the driveway is shared with other properties, but with that said, there is still adequate parking in the garage and right next to the home. WE WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK!! :)
